"Phenomenally Bow" - Elevating Connection Through Strategic Design and Execution
The BOW Collective’s 5th Annual Conference marked a milestone moment—bringing together more than 260 entrepreneurs, leaders, sponsors, and speakers for a four-day experience in Arlington, Texas. Hosted at Live! at Loews Hotel, the conference celebrated five years of BOW’s journey while creating space for connection, visibility, and continued growth across its community.
Objective
The primary objective of the event was to celebrate a five-year milestone while creating a platform for continued growth, visibility, and connection within the community.
The event was designed to:
Strengthen relationships among members, partners, and stakeholders
Provide actionable insights to support business development and leadership growth
Elevate the presence of Black women entrepreneurs through curated opportunities and visibility
Create an environment that balances structured content with meaningful, organic interaction
The Challenge
This milestone event required more than a traditional conference format. The goal was to design an experience that reflected BOW’s evolution—one that could scale in size while preserving the intimacy, energy, and sense of belonging that defines the community.
The program needed to balance:
High-volume content delivery
Meaningful networking opportunities
Experiential moments that felt authentic and memorable
All while creating a cohesive environment that would resonate with a diverse group of leaders and entrepreneurs.
The Approach
Acuity Events approached the conference with a focus on immersive experience design and intentional programming.
The strategy centered on:
Transforming the venue into a fully branded BOW House
Integrating wellness and lifestyle elements into the overall agenda
Creating multiple layers of engagement—from large sessions to small-group interactions
Infusing local Texas culture to ground the experience in place
Each element was designed to feel connected, purposeful, and reflective of BOW’s identity.
The Experience
From arrival to closing, the event unfolded as a dynamic and multi-dimensional experience.
Attendees were welcomed with distinctive Texas touches, setting the tone for a conference rooted in both culture and community. Throughout the program, participants engaged in:
A dedicated Wellness Day featuring health screenings, fitness sessions, and recovery experiences
Daily moments of reset through yoga and meditation
A curated Marketplace showcasing member businesses
Industry-based BOW Down dinners, followed by social experiences including karaoke and line dancing
Dine-arounds and partner dinners designed to deepen connections
A comprehensive spouses program with curated experiences across Dallas
High-energy moments, including the Super Bowl celebration, were balanced with intentional white space—allowing attendees to reflect, recharge, and engage more meaningfully

The 5th Annual BOW Conference delivered an experience that was both expansive and deeply connected.
